Privacy notice
Polaris Insights uses limited first-party analytics such as page views, session activity and requested host information to understand readership, improve reliability and protect the service. When the request proxy supplies them, we also record a coarse country and state/region label. We may resolve the visitor IP to an optional reverse-DNS (PTR) hostname for traffic diagnostics. We do not collect precise location, sell personal information or use analytics to make decisions about a reader.
Detailed visitor events are retained for 30 days. Aggregated daily and weekly traffic rollups are retained for up to 400 days. Older detailed events and location labels are not available in the monitor.
Advertising
Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure advertising. You can manage cookie and ad personalization choices through your browser and Google account settings.
Accounts
If you create an account, we retain the email address and authentication data needed to provide sign-in. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes. Contact us to request account deletion or correction.
